Project Spotlight

The Calgary based company Feng Shui Market & Publishing approached me looking for a solution to stream live video of weekend workshops to remote viewers. Besides just watching the stream, viewers needed to be able to be a part of the live class. This was accomplished by developing a custom web-based chat application. The exchange of information between the remote viewers and the classroom moderator was seamless.

The video production utilized two camera angles and four wireless microphones to cover the speaker and the classroom participants.

The program was mixed in real-time with live titles, camera switching, color correction and audio levels. All twelve hours of the event was recorded for later distribution simultaneous of the live stream.

Management of the remote viewers and distribution was made possible by a custom built, proprietary Video Learning Management System (VLMS). This web-based system was customized with their company branding to create a truly integrated, seamless solution.
